A snobby and disgruntled spirit named Pearly invades her dreams and leads her astray from her simple life path. Pearly needs Avery to fix her wrongs. Haunting Avery when she sees fit which result into inconvenient moments. Avery meets Waylor who is an unlikely match yet she becomes protective of him after Pearly makes her threats. Avery questions her desires for the future, while still having to deal with Pearly's needs. Waylor only thought Avery was just a phase, a desire to satisfy his curiosity and craving for chocolate. He never expected to fall in love with a woman he thought he would never date.

A.L Sykes has always loved writing in some form. She kept a journal well into her adult life. Her higher learning reflects her love for writing with a degree in English with a focus on creative writing.
